Design and Build

iPhone 12 sports a 6.1-inch edge-to-edge Super Retina OLED Display. The OLED lets you see the blackest of black and provides better visuals even in sunlight. It is reinforced with the toughest smartphone glass ever that comes with a ceramic shield that has nano-crystals embedded in the optically clear glass. Moreover, the display is scratch-proof to quite a good extent and comes in an aluminium body.

Working and Functions

The A14 Bionic chip empowers the phone with great battery life, faster better processing, enhancing the neural engine to work better and efficiently and much more. With this, the augmented reality takes a new turn letting you smartly explore and browse through things. As mentioned on the Apple homepage, you could dissect a frog, or try a new couch, all through the iPhone. The iOS 14 is the most secure and is filled with shortcuts much to the user convenience. The storage capacity ranges right from 64 GB all the way to 256 GB.

The camera has made improvements in leaps and bounds capturing every little detail, sharpness and colour quality times better than before. Capturing images in low lights is made easy as both the wide and ultra-wide cameras are equipped with the automatic night mode. Smart HDR3, Deep Fusion, Improvised Portrait mode are a few features that bring out the best in each shot while maintaining the exact quality as that of the reality, and smartly adjusting light and other details. Video recording reaches a higher level with the Time Lapse, Night Mode, and 4K HDR video with Dolby vision; which, is much better than some cameras!

This apart, the usuals with Siri8 assist, FaceTime HD video calling over Wi-fi, Face-ID and all things Apple!

What’s new?

  • Reviewing the design of older Apple iPhone versions like 5 and 6; the iPhone 12 is said to have brought back the squared sides and edges over the smooth curves seen in recent versions.
  • Advanced technology with cutting edge features get a boost with the new version of iOS 14 alongside the addition of widgets that will present iPhones in a new light.
  • The compact call notifier takes a very little portion of the display, picture-in-picture lest you use a second app while on FaceTime, Pinned conversations, inline replies and mentions have all entered the messaging sector, thanks to the iOS 14. To know more about iOS 14, read the blog at Mobiru India.
  • Apple iPhones will finally be able to see the light of 5G networks through iPhone 12.
  • MagSafe accessories that let you be creative with the back of iPhone 12 are indeed fun.

The Plus Points

  • Wireless Fast Charging.

  • Dolby audio that surrounds in 3D space

The Drawbacks

  • The very obvious one is the exclusion of Power adapter and Air Pods from the box.
  • The 5G and 4G iPhones will be priced differently, and their availability will be determined based on the location of purchase and use.
  • No MicroSD, No 3.5mm Audio Jack. (This isn’t even essential to mention cause beyond a point, all flagship phones have eradicated the standard audio jacks!)
  • Also, no 8K video recording. But that is covered up for by the other brilliant features.
